Maybe you are thinking that the reason why I am not blogging anymore is because my life back in Holland is boring, and I am not having that many adventures. Well, actually the opposite is true! I wasn’t blogging for a while because I was so occupied with being part of a lot of new, interesting, and exciting developments.
First of all, I applied for three different scholarships for my stay in Geneva. Because my god, that city is expensive! So the last two weeks I was constantly busy with collecting the right forms (sometimes in ten-fold!), receiving autographs and begging persons for reference letters. It all may seem like an easy thing to do, but trust me, sometimes I really hate bureaucracy.
How much trouble one stupid form can sometimes give…
Anyway, I have saved the best for last. Because there is more, very important and exciting news, to tell you…
… Last Tuesday I have send in my application to Brussels, for a paid traineeship at the European Commission!!! There are 1200 spots and every student all over Europe, who has just graduated, can apply for it! The traineeship is starting the 1st of October, and that is really the most perfect timing, because last week I found out that the 25th OF SEPTEMBER (everybody write it down!) I will graduate!
So everybody triple-cross your fingers for me, because somewhere May I will find out if I am going to the next round and thus whether I have to fly from Geneva to Brussels for a weekend for a face-to-face interview with the committee..

Met jouw kwaliteiten en je tempo van organiseren en mensen inschakelen moet ook Brussel je wel weer gaan lukken. Nog even aan je Frans gaan werken komende tijd, want die Brusselaren zijn rare snuiters hoor. En o wat een bureaucratie zul je daar tegen gaan komen ....

Zozooo, en welke niet Hollandse stad staat er na Brussel op je planning, miss busywusy? En hoe gaat het met je stage hier?
