The 14th of March...

... and this year we went to: BERLIN

After waking up too early and driving too fast auf die Deutsche Autobahn (210 km/hour - yeah baby yeah) we arrived last Friday around lunchtime in the second most popular city of the European Union. A city I visited 8 years ago for two hours. During those hours I remember seeing ‘die Berliner mauer’ and a lot of building excavations. That was it, that was all I knew of Berlin. A dusty city with some big wall standing in the middle.

But yep, my view of Berlin changed after last weekend, cause there is actually much more to see - what a surprise.. :) The first day we walked around till I couldn’t feel my feet anymore (but this was probably also due to the fact that I was wearing my new shoes for the second time…). A small impression:

The second day we decided to rent some bikes, since the whole public transportation system was on strike. No busses, no subway, really nothing.

Unfortunately, as beautiful the day before was with a lot of sun, as rainy the next day was and also as ‘closed’ the next day was. Because apparently the Germans don’t like to go shopping on rainy ‘Sun’days and thus they have all their shops closed. And since we were not really in a museum mood, we went to Potsdam.

A cute little city where there were 1. open shops plus 2. there was a Starbucks. So in other words: a perfect way to end our great German weekend!

Leuke foto's!
