My present and future

It’s funny how your perspective of your personal future can be completely turned around in just 48 hours.

My internship is great. Already after this second day I feel like I finally found my spot, I’m finally doing what I really want to do. I don’t belong in the lab, I’m not the hardcore science type of girl. I don’t belong at the side of the scientific world where you’re trying to be one yourself. I belong at this side, the side where you’re trying to translate all in the science into something more understandable for the rest of the world.

So in the end, a shitty situation - hearing 2 days before Christmas that you won’t be going to Kenya anymore – led to something great. Not only do I already know that this will be a very useful experience, I also just send an email to Switzerland, telling them that this non - science - but - communication - girl is coming to Geneva. It’s definite!

Kram,

Yoline
