Ok, ok, I admit… I miss writing my blogs! But since there are still some Swedish adventures left I still haven’t told you about, that’s a good excuse to continue writing. So… let’s go back in time.
Fridaynight, 11th of January, 4:00 a.m: I was FINALLY laying in bed. After being awake for 22 hours, of which 3 of them were spend at the airport, I was finally laying in bed and not alone anymore. Celso had arrived!
Saturdaynight, the 12th: Our goodbye-farewell party, since this was the last time we would be all together in Stockholm. The day after Rianne and Marieke would fly back to Holland and on Monday Jolien and Claire would leave. But it was a fun night! We had ‘sterretjes’ during our dinner, we had to filter our cocktails since we discovered that Baileys and Fanta don’t mix that well together, and I managed to threw a candle over myself so that I was completely covered with the wax. Yep, a lot of fun =)

Sunday, the 13th: Me, Claire and Celso went to Drottningholmen. The palace of the Royal family, just a bit outside Stockholm. Nice building and the king and queen are still living there. Strange idea that at the exact moment we were walking there, they were having their lunch at the other side of the building, which was – of course – closed for the visitors.

Monday the 14th till… Friday the 18th !!! For once I had finally some luck when it comes down to persons visiting me. Because Celso’s flight got cancelled! And yes, that was a good thing in this case, cause like this he couldn’t fly back to Belgium on Wednesday, but ‘unfortunately’ he had to stay till Friday. What a pity!

Friday the 18th till Monday the 21st: That Fridayafternoon was a weird afternoon. It was the first time in my life that I went to the airport to say goodbye and say hello at the same time. Celso flew back at 18:00, and my dad and bro arrived at 16:00. I had decided not to go to Finland anymore – one time on that big boat was more than enough – so my family went to Stockholm to pick me up and bring me back home. But only after seeing the city a bit their selves of course!

So now I’m back home for already 4 full days again. And yes, of course I now realize some more differences between Sweden and Holland, and yes, I do miss some things about Stockholm and appreciate some more things about Holland. And yes, let’s not forget about my internship because a lot of exciting things are going on at the moment. But guess what; This will be the end of my first blog out of Holland – for now. Because like this I still have some more reasons to continue writing my blog, eventhough I’m back ‘in the normal life’.
Kram,
